What delicious delight is the perfect mix of fun and fancy? This cold and creamy, sweet and silky dessert is the go-to treat on a hot, sunny day… That’s right folks, it’s your childhood favorite – ice cream!
With summer coming up in just a few short months, this ice cream enthusiast will visit eight highly rated ice cream shops in Los Angeles. I am hoping to find the perfect scoop of ice cream by summertime.
Now let me assure you – the perfect ice cream scoop is no simple feat. To structure my complex rating system for the ice cream, I am using the rubric below:

For some level of continuity between ice cream shops, I will try both the most popular flavor and the most unique flavor at each location. Then, using the rubric, I will assess the ice cream experience for an overall rating.
The better the ice cream experience, the more ice cream scoops the shop will be awarded!
By summer, the shop with the most ice cream scoops will be deemed the champion of Los Angeles ice cream.

Wow! I love this concept, and I’m excited to read about places I can take my friends to have the best ice cream experience. Although, I am saddened that you are sticking to places in LA because there are a lot of cool spots along the coast, but I’ll let you know if I hear about anything in LA.
